Peace is like breath. In breathing, there is
circulation, rhythm and balance. As a fundamental human instinct, peace is a
principle of the universe, and as the truth, it encompasses the essence of life. |

Dahn Yoga for MS Success Stories
Many people with multiple sclerosis have shared with us how much Dahn Yoga and Brain Wave Vibration have helped them. Read a few below, and then click on the image to the right to watch a preview of the Dahn Yoga for MS and Similar Conditions DVD.
I suffer from multiple sclerosis. I had to wear feet support
in the socks and use a cane simply to walk. I could not move my feet for three
years. Now after practicing Brain Wave Vibration, I can lift my feet. I can even move furniture without help. Before,
I fell out of balance when I pulled my head backward. Not anymore! Even my
doctor is very surprised.

A year and a half ago, I was diagnosed with multiple
sclerosis. After 8-9 months of Brain Wave Vibration practice, I went in for a medical exam. To my
doctor's surprise, brain lesions that I had before disappeared from my MRI
scan. He said this could not have been the medication I was taking. Also, I got
half an inch taller!

I have just started using the Dahn Yoga for MS video and
am very excited!
I live in Alabama, in a small town about 50 miles
southeast of Birmingham. Many people in my surrounding area suffer from MS, as
do I. I was diagnosed nearly 13 years ago and took some yoga classes off and
on, but the Dahn Yoga for MS video is the best exercise I've found for myself.
Other classes were too strenuous or too far away and expensive for me to
attend.
I would love to learn more about your organization and am
very interested in maybe becoming an instructor. I think many people here with
MS would benefit, as would the large elderly population.
I've been searching recently for some way to reclaim my
identity and to do something good for my community. I think teaching a Dahn
Yoga for MS or other conditions would be a great way for me to reach that goal. - Valorie Click here to buy the Dahn Yoga for MS DVD!

Drumming and the Healing Power of Rhythm

"A drum is a voice, alive and
feeling as with any voice. When it speaks, then we must listen and honor the
message with our best and noblest selves, for it is a voice with great power
and it is a voice that is a gift to us from a greater being. If we do this,
then our lives will be full and happy. If we do not listen but pay disrespect,
then our lives will have dishonor." --Louis W. Ballard, Quapaw-Cherokee
Drumming, especially in a group, is being recognized more and more for its healing effects. Many psychologists are using it to treat patients with
post-traumatic stress disorder, and for anyone who needs to release pent-up
stress and emotions. For example, Dr. Barry Quinn, a licensed clinical psychologist, has used drumming to to increase the alpha brainwaves of his
hypervigilant (highly stressed) patients.
In the medical field, drumming, or rhythm in general, is being used to help
Alzheimer's patients improve their short-term memory and increase social
interaction, and to help autistic children increase their attention spans. It is also being used to aid Parkinson's patients and stroke victims in regaining
their control of movement or increase their gaits.
According
to "The Healing Power of the Drum" by Robert Lawrence Friedman, "the
application of rhythm and its ability to heal the body, mind and soul is
boundless. In this century, when we seem to be moving farther and farther away
from ourselves and our deeper needs, the drum, through its simplicity,
effortlessness and naturalism, offers us a link back to that which we knew
before technology separated us from our soul and our heart-felt link to others."
Carrie Elkins, MA found this out for herself when she broke her hip and had to undergo several surgeries. While she had been very active all her life and taught aerobic and other fitness methods to others, Carrie had to find a gentler, low-impact way to get her body moving. Her personal research led her to rhythm and drumming. She now teaches a combination of the "rhythms of the drums
with the passion of the dance and allows for expression and creativity. It
provides a high degree of fitness and, most importantly, it's fun!"
In the same way, combining Brain Wave Vibration and drumming music heals mind, body, and spirit. So whenever you're stressed or don't really feel like hitting the gym, try letting your inner rhythm loose.
To help you, you can find healing drumming music on the Music for Brain Wave Vibration CD at www.bestlifemedia.com, as well as the Brain Wave Vibration audio book with a guided training session.
