Bowing, A moving meditation for personal transformation by Ilchi Lee

Body & Brain Yoga instructor Genia Sullivan, based in Sedona, Arizona, has begun giving free local workshops on Body & Brain Yoga-style bowing meditation, such as that taught in BEST Life Media’s latest book, Bowing: A Moving Meditation for Personal Transformation by Dahn Yoga Education. Two workshops were presented in August 2010, with the first at the Sedona Library and the second at the Sedona Creative Life Center. Each workshop included an explanation of the principles and benefits behind this ancient mind-body practice, as well as discussion and an experiential bowing session.

Thus far, all of the participants felt the power of bowing meditation after their experience and were interested in continuing the practice. Genia will offer additional bowing meditation workshops, which she calls The Sacred Art of Bowing: An Exercise for Meditation, Vitality, and Grace, in September 2010 and beyond.

Genia Sullivan has been bowing as a practice for the development of the mind-body connection for the past ten years. She has been working and training as Dahn Yoga instructor since 2001, and holds a Master’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry from Boston College in Massachusetts.
