Winner of a Silver Medal in the Living Now Book Awards

Soon after The Secret of Mago Castle by Rebecca Tinkle (Best Life Media, October 2014) was awarded a Gold Medal by the Readers’ Favorite Book Awards in the Epic Fantasy Fiction category, it was given a Silver Medal by the Living Now Book Awards in the Adventure Fiction category.

The Living Now Book Awards focuses on titles that are life-changing and help people create “healthier, more fulfilling lives for ourselves and for the planet.” Given since 2008, Living Now Book Awards recognize the excellence of newly published books in a wide range of lifestyle categories, from cooking to spirituality. In all, 113 gold, silver and bronze medals were awarded in 35 categories, chosen from 530 total entries.

The awards are presented by Jenkins Group of Traverse City, Michigan, a book packaging, marketing, and distribution firm that has been dedicated to promoting books that enrich readers’ lives in wholesome, Earth-friendly ways since 1988.

“These award-winning books inspire people to be more tolerant and forgiving,” said Awards Director Jim Barnes. “In a world filled with racial injustice and religious intolerance, millions of people are living in fear and lacking the basics of a safe, happy life. Good books are a weapon against ignorance.”

“Yes,” Living Now Awards wrote in its winner announcement, “books can inspire, inform, and change peoples’ lives. Throughout history, books truly have been ‘changing the world, one book at a time,’ and they continue to do so today, whether in the form of a tattered paperback or an interactive ebook on an iPad. The spirit of helping others learn and grow is what the Living Now Book Award-winning books are all about.”

Rebecca Tinkle was also thrilled. “The circumstances leading to this book were so miraculous that witting it changed my life entirely.
