Part of feeling good is feeling not just physically good, but emotionally good. Some would contend that feeling emotionally good is the more important of the two, including myself. I say this because your emotional wellness dictates how you perceive situations that arise. If you are emotionally well, a bad situation might not seem so bad. Severe pain won’t be as painful. Being emotionally down can make situations worse than they really are or turn a good situation into a bad one in your eyes. I see this every day in my practice. On the other hand, you can feel physically fine, no pain or illness, and still not be happy. So, emotional wellness is pretty important.

One of the keys to being emotionally well is having your life go the way you want it to go. And a big key to that is something that I have recently been reading about: Manifesting. We all do it, all of the time. We have been doing it since the day we opened our eyes. According to the rules of manifesting, everything that is in your life was put there by you. So with that in mind, you can make anything happen, good or bad, to yourself.

Manifesting is simple and only seems to have a few principles:

Principle one is to clear space. This involves releasing all of your disbelief in your power to be happy. This is probably the most powerful and important step to this process.

Principle two is to get clear. This involves being clear on exactly what it is that you want so you are manifesting the right things into your life. Some people want conflicting things, and they don’t even realize it. Spend some time thinking about what it is you really want for yourself.

Principle three is Think it, Feel it, Believe it. This step requires you to spend time each day thinking about what you want, feeling the feeling of having it, and believing that it is on the way. Go ahead and act as though it is already yours!

Principle four is relaxing and knowing that it will come. Trust in the universe that your desire is on its way, even if it seems like it is taking forever.

These principles may seem simple, but this is powerful stuff. Getting into your own inner space and releasing your self-inflicted limitations is good for you no matter what. I would suggest giving it a shot. Of course, this doesn’t mean that all you have to do is sit in your room and think about owning a tropical beach escape and some cosmic genie will magically appear and hand you the keys . . . . No, there is still work to be done.

This is more about focusing your intentions and what you REALLY desire, knocking down your own mental barriers, and making your dreams come true with dedication and time. Your mind is a very powerful tool to help you change every aspect of your life from quality to your life span even. You can learn more about how to unlock the power of your mind to improve your life in the books I’ve Decided to Live 120 Years and LifeParticle Meditation: A Practical Guide to Healing and Transformation by Ilchi Lee.

You’ll thank me one day when you wake up to the sounds of exotic bird songs and the smell of fresh rain!
